Kimberly Tobias, MS, Associate Marriage and Family Therapist; Associate Professional Clinical Counselor

Hello! My name is Kimberly Tobias, M.S., AMFT, APCC. I’m a therapist who believes that you deserve a space where you can feel truly seen, heard, and understood without having to hide the parts of yourself that may feel difficult to explain. A space where you can let your guard down, make sense of what you’re carrying, and feel supported as you move toward a life that feels more fulfilling and authentically yours.

My focus is supporting individuals navigating OCD, anxiety, ADHD, and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). I work with children, teens, adults, couples, and families, and I especially enjoy working with neurodivergent individuals who may have felt misunderstood or pressured to fit into environments that weren’t built with them in mind.

I strive to create a warm, welcoming, and nonjudgmental space where we can slow down, make sense of what you’re experiencing, and work together at a pace that feels safe and supportive. I believe therapy should make room for all parts of your experience, including your culture, relationships, neurotype, strengths, and challenges.

I’m passionate about helping clients move beyond simply managing their struggles and toward building lives that feel meaningful, fulfilling, and authentic to who they are. Whether you’re navigating OCD, ADHD, autism, anxiety, trauma, depression, relationship concerns, or simply feeling stuck, we can begin where you are and work toward greater flexibility, self-understanding, and confidence.

My approach integrates Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and somatic-based approaches. I recognize that anxiety and OCD can affect more than our thoughts; they can be experienced throughout the body through tension, restlessness, overwhelm, shutdown, sensory sensitivity, or difficulty feeling grounded. When appropriate, I incorporate grounding, movement, and creative expression into therapy. My work is informed by the belief that the mind and body are deeply interconnected, and that understanding what happens in both can help us develop more compassionate and effective ways of responding to life’s challenges.

I hold an M.S. in Counseling Psychology from California Baptist University, along with a B.S. in Psychology and Brain Science and a B.A. in Dance from UC Santa Barbara. Outside of the therapy room, I have a background as a dancer, which has deeply shaped the way I understand the relationship between the mind and body. Dance taught me to pay attention to movement, sensation, emotion, and the ways our bodies communicate experiences that we may not always have words for. I bring that perspective into my work with clients, recognizing that healing and self-understanding can happen through both conversation and embodied experience.

You don’t have to navigate this alone. If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply ready for something to feel different, I’m here to help. You deserve a space where you can take off the pressure to have it all together and simply be human. If you feel ready to take that first step, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.

I currently offer both in-person and telehealth therapy sessions.
