Mary McElhone, MA, Associate Marriage and Family Therapist

Life is a series of choices. Insight is vital, but lasting change happens when we do something different that is effective in building our self and a new perspective on life’s possibilities. I am a Marriage & Family Therapist Associate experienced in providing therapy to children, teens, transitional aged youth, couples and families. My focus includes issues such as grief, loss, trauma, coping skills, education and emotion management. I believe that different people respond to different interventions and am comfortable with a diverse approach to nurture change.
Prior to doing therapy I worked as a social worker with geriatric adults and was a supervisor at a children’s agency. I feel that my own diverse life experiences enhance my work; I can relate to people without judgment or surprise and look forward to working together finding new pathways for life’s challenges.
