Mindfulness & Meditation
I have been practicing yoga for over 10 years and have found it to be incredibly therapeutic. I believe that the mind and the body are very connected. If we are not feeling well emotionally then we tend to not feel well physically, and vice versa. Since yoga has been so healing to me personally, I decided to become a Certified Yoga Teacher so that I could offer its therapeutic benefits to clients. Sometimes it is difficult to express how we feel through words when we experience intense emotions. When this happens, I find that alternative methods of therapy, such as aspects of therapeutic yoga, can be beneficial. In session, I incorporate aspects of therapeutic yoga by occasionally offering meditation and mindfulness practices such as breath work, guided visualization, essential oils, and grounding exercises in order to enhance our work together.
